New biodiversity trail signs at Tallman Mountain

tallman2The Hudson River Valley Greenway has awarded $3,000 to the Palisades Parks Conservancy for interpretive signs along the Tallman Mountain State Park Biodiversity Trail. The funds are awarded via a Greenway Conservancy Small Grant.

Bluffs along the Hudson River that are part of Tallman Mountain State Park have been recognized by the New Jersey Natural Heritage Program as having “high biodiversity significance.” Including interpretive signage within the park will help educate the public about the importance of the park’s variety of flora and fauna.

More information about the Greenway’s grant programs, including deadlines and eligibity guidelines, is available online.
