Lookin’ Good — PTNY Volunteers Give Parks and Trails a Spring Cleaning

myparkday_leafchangeParks and trails across New York are looking good thanks to the thousands of volunteers who turned out for Canal Clean Sweep and I Love My Park Day.

On April 25-27, volunteers across the state showed their appreciation for the New York State Canal System and Canalway Trail by participating in the 9th annual Canal Clean Sweep. Due to their efforts, this year’s Canal Clean Sweep was the most successful to date. Thank you to all organizers and volunteers, and to the New York State Canal Corporation for sponsoring the event!

On May 3, it was the state parks’ turn for a spring sprucing. I Love My Park Day brought an estimated 6,000 volunteers to parks across the state, a record turnout for the event.

Here how Canal Clean Sweep and I Love My Park Day’s events unfolded, in images, and a few words…
